Miami Beach, le XX septembre 2022 – Cinq concierges Clefs d’Or : The Setai, Miami Beach est désormais l’hôtel de Floride qui compte le plus grand nombre de membres de la prestigieuse association au sein de sa conciergerie – et l’un des tous premiers aux États-Unis ! Un gage d’excellence pour cet établissement légendaire membre de The Leading Hotels of the World, qui se voit accorder chaque année depuis 2015 la note suprême de cinq étoiles par le prestigieux Forbes Travel Guide dans son classement des meilleurs établissements hôteliers internationaux.
Fondée en France en 1929, l'Association des Concierges Clefs d’Or est forte de quelque 400 membres dans l’Hexagone et de plus de 3.500 dans 80 pays autour du monde. Ce club très privé, basé sur les valeurs d’excellence et de discrétion, ne s’ouvre qu’à l’élite de la profession. À la tête de la conciergerie d’exception de The Setai : Maïté Foriasky. Cette Française - une des seules chef concierges Clefs d’Or de l’Hexagone officiant à l’étranger – supervise une équipe cosmopolite constituée d’une Indonésienne, d’une Polonaise, d’un Mexicain, d’une Péruvienne et de deux Américains.

Née dans le Nord de la France mais dotée d’origines basques, cette passionnée de voyage a fait ses valises pour l’Amérique Centrale et du Sud, avant de s’installer aux Etats-Unis au milieu des années 1980… pour ne plus jamais revenir ! Initialement destinée à une carrière commerciale, c’est à San Francisco qu’elle découvre sa véritable passion, en devenant assistante concierge du Hilton de la ville. Une révélation : six mois plus tard, elle devient concierge en titre, consciente d’avoir trouvé sa voie. En 2002, Maïté est acceptée dans la prestigieuse association des concierges Clefs d’Or.

Après 16 années passées en Californie, c’est en 2004 que Maïté Foriasky est appelée par l’équipe de lancement de The Setai Miami Beach pour devenir Chef Concierge de ce nouvel hôtel de luxe sur le point d’ouvrir. 18 ans déjà, au cours desquels Miami a beaucoup changé. « A l’époque, il n’y avait que très peu de restaurants et de vie culturelle. Aujourd’hui, c’est une ville qui bouge à tous les niveaux : l’Art Basel, qui attire de plus en plus de visiteurs de toute la planète, en est un exemple éloquent, tout comme cette année, l’organisation pour la toute première fois du Grand Prix de Formule 1 ».
Maïté Foriasky est fière de travailler à The Setai, un hôtel qu’elle décrit comme « unique » : « C’est un établissement indépendant dont le concept ne ressemble à aucun autre. Le service y passe avant tout, il est caractérisé par un raffinement à l’asiatique. Il y a une véritable âme. On est accueilli avec le sourire, et on s’y sent comme à la maison. » Prévenance et discrétion : c’est aussi ce que viennent chercher à The Setai de nombreuses stars internationales désirant préserver leur intimité.

Répondant quotidiennement aux demandes les plus diverses d’une clientèle haut de gamme, Maïté Foriasky aurait beaucoup d’anecdotes savoureuses à raconter. Une des requêtes les plus insolites qui lui ait été faites ? Celle d’un Anglais résolu à expédier un tigre de Floride jusqu'à Londres - le tout dans un délai de deux jours. Le client était tombé amoureux d'une
habitante du « Sunshine State » et lui avait demandé de s'installer à Londres avec lui. Sa réponse ? Elle ne bougerait pas sans son animal favori ! Avec l'aide du Miami Metro Zoo, et après avoir rempli une montagne de formulaires, la Chef Concierge a finalement pu accomplir sa mission avec succès !
