Jaya, which means 'victory' in Sanskrit, was chosen by our team to honor The Setai's renowned interior designer Jaya Ibrahim and the hotel's first decade of successful Asian-inspired hospitality. Executive Chef Mathias Gervais and Executive Sous Chef Vijayudu Veena have collaborated to create standout dishes from Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, India, China and Japan.
Incorporating many traditional culinary techniques from wok stations to tandoor ovens, Jaya's menu features modern Asian cuisine with the bountiful flavors of turmeric, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, chilies, coconut milk and tamarind and will also present longtime Setai favorites including Peking Duck, Naan breads, Indian curries, Tandoor sea bass and Dim Sums.
Food is the key thread in the fabric of Asian life and how people socialize. As such, Jaya follows this tradition serving dishes in a style to be shared in an inviting atmosphere to make for a lively experience paired with the sophistication and hospitality you've come to expect from The Setai, Miami Beach.
As our guest, you have the choice of either dining indoors or in The Setai's serene courtyard with retractable roof.
Menu highlights include: Bluefin Tuna and Black Pepper Shrimp; Thali Platter (a traditional Indian dish filled with small pots of chicken, fish and okra); and Shortrib Gyoza and Truffle dumplings to name a few. An Asian-focused mixology program, sakés as well as The Setai's lavish Wine Cellar all complement Jaya's complex flavor profiles.
Jaya is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner including Sundays for The Setai's famed Jazz Brunch. Jaya is also available for in-room dining options for guests and residents staying at The Setai.

The recently renovated courtyard now features a built-in retractable rooftop that fully expands, allowing guests unparalleled sky views while feeling the cool ocean breeze. By night, moods lift and music embraces as sophisticated Asian small plates are paired with global wine, champagne and high-end-spirit selections, as well as creative cocktails with an Asian twist. Whether for an aperitif, dining experience al fresco or evening among friends, The Bar & The Courtyard presents an elegant backdrop for whatever the day or night may bring. The Ocean Grill, formerly known as the Pool and Beach Bar, debuts this season with a new menu, wood-fire grill, and an expanded dining deck with extra beachfront seating. The open-air restaurant amidst the tropical foliage of South Beach is just steps away from the beach. Tall wood beams frame this cabana designed with modern Asian finishes. This culinary experience is unique to any other outside dining in South Beach with water views in every direction; guests can look out in front of them and enjoy the refreshing breeze of the Atlantic Ocean or turn around and gaze at The Setai’s three infinity edge pools. Executive Chef Mathias Gervais offers a Mediterranean-inspired menu at The Ocean Grill whose custom-built wood-fire grill gives each dish a rustic flare. Guests can enjoy a wide range of standout dishes including Spanish Octopus on the grill, Yellowfin Tuna Tartar, Mediterranean Branzino and the exotic Truffle Pizza, “the diamond of the kitchen”.
